This course is for people working with young children and those working towards an early years educator qualification. This includes:

  15. Managing an emergency (practical)
  16. Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
  17. Communication and casualty care
  18. Child and baby resuscitation (CPR)
  19. Unresponsive baby
  20. Unresponsive child
  21. Choking baby
  22. Choking child
  23. Allergic reaction
  24. Minor and severe bleeding
  25. Seizures
  26. Shock

Assessment and certification

Continuous observation by the trainer and written assessments. Successful candidates will receive a certificate, which is valid for three years.
